I partnered with the Institute of Grocery Distribution to produce this second edition of Eating In vs Dining Out. This 30 page report explores the impact of coronavirus on the foodservice and food retail markets, and is the first time foodservice and retail have been covered as a single system.
The report is in two parts. Part I examines the impact of COVID on the UK food and drink market during 2020. It includes a timeline of key dates to put developments into context, a review of food and drink during the year, and a section on changes in consumer behaviour. Part II provides an outlook for 2021 with a summary of the factors that will affect food and drink in 2021, a quarter by quarter look at the changes, and our expert thoughts on navigating the challenges ahead.
This report will help food and drink suppliers position themselves for activity in foodservice and retail throughout 2021.
