I don’t normally comment much on GDP figures – primarily because they have little direct impact on how we should interpret what’s happening in the foodservice sector. But last week the ONS revealed a significant upgrade to its analysis of GDP with the result that its estimate of the change in GDP in 2021 was upgraded from a -0.9% decline to growth of 0.6%. What does this mean for the foodservice sector?
