The notion that the UK follows America's lead has long been an economic assumption. When examining the foodservice industry through the Margin Squeeze - comparing input inflation (food and beverage costs) against output inflation (menu prices) with a read-through to bottom line profitability - this relationship is both true and not so true.


In my insight, I consider consumer demand for significant experiences post-pandemic and how businesses can capitalise on it.
