Will today’s thirty-somethings eventually morph into tomorrow’s sixty-somethings, dining in white-tablecloth restaurants just like their parents? Or will they carry their love for delivery apps and casual dining into retirement?
According to new insights from the Office for Budget Responsibility, the answer isn’t simple and the implications for restaurant operators are huge. Millennials may never fully “age into” fine dining. So, reliance on young diners to eventually boost traditional segments may be a risky approach.
