Is the franchise model the "new normal"?
In my latest Ones to Watch (published later this week), I identify the fastest growing restaurant brands. Thunderbird, Wingstop, Oodles, Frankster’s, Afrikana and Triple Two Coffee top the list and they all have something in common; they’re all built on a franchise model. Across the pond, in the US, the model has been prevalent for some time. Are we following in the footsteps?
