A couple of weeks ago I drew attention to the need to look forward ten years. Now it’s time to look even further ahead.
Forecasts – just published by the ONS – suggest that the numbers of youngsters in 100 years’ time will be broadly unchanged, while the elderly will account for a major, and growing, share of the population.
What does this mean for foodservice? And, why do operators and suppliers need to consider it now?
