What to do about something when it loses its reason for existence?

In my latest Weekly Briefing Report I write about one of the first ever Costa outlets. It was at the top of the hill in Highgate. But it is no more – it was closed, permanently in the last few weeks. At the same time, Costa are adding to their worldwide store count, of nearly 4,000 outlets, with the opening of their first outlet in Belgium.


As the world evolves, practices and skills that once were essential become relics of the past, reminding us of the constant motion of time and the importance of adapting to change.


I also write about what figures released last week by the ONS say about the cost of living crisis.
