A few weeks ago, I wrote about what will happen when covid leaves town. I said it would be a very slow departure, but now, we have a vaccine on the scene. What will this mean and will it enable our industry to return more quickly than we thought? Meanwhile, unsurprisingly, #lockdown2 is hurting financially. Whilst lessons were learnt the first time around, the impact of a second lockdown is just too much for some businesses. Preliminary numbers from my next Ones to Watch report reveal that 12% of sites run by smaller, previously fast growing, Bubbling Under brands, have closed in the last six months.
